Happy (belated) Father's Day!!!

OK, so I'm a little late but better late than never! I hope all the dads out there had a good day and got to spend some quality time with their family or some nice quiet time, whichever is preferred.
Gabriela was a busy-bee making cards for Jay. We made one with blue card stock, cupcake liners and other creative items. It was very colorful! She was very excited about showing off her product to daddy. On Sunday we (Gabriela and I) got up VERY early to make some delicious chocolate chip pancakes (we need to start a "lunch for daddy" tradition, instead of breakfast). The pancakes were topped with a home made peach chutney and warm maple syrup (we wanted to make sure Jay was in a full sugar rush by the end of his meal). We cut up some fresh roses from the garden to decorate the tray and served the king in bed.
Jay was very surprised (wink, wink) and looooved the royal treatment. Gabriela then proceeded to perform a self-choreographed cheer for the best dad in the world! I couldn't run fast enough to grab the video camera so we missed out on that. But it was awesome!
On a different note, I got to visit the doctor way too many times this week. It was a combo of annual check up (I got all straight A's) and some weird symptoms that gave us some suspicion of Gout! What am I 90 years old?! It ended up not being Gout but we still don't know what it is. I'll keep you posted on that front.
Oh, and after months of torturing myself studying for the PE licensing exam (for Engineers) I didn't pass! I was very sad and disappointed but I'll continue to prepare until I pass it!
Have a good night!

  1. I love the wedding pics Jen, you were so beautiful! And don't worry, you will pass the PE test, it seems like it takes most of us a couple of tries :0) Christy

  2. Thanks Christy! We had a blast. It was one of those magical moments. How is the family? I love your blog, by the way. I can't believe how big the babies are! Say hello to everyone.
