We have been talking for a while about getting a dog for the family. We kept on putting it off because, like any experienced dog owner out there, we know it's a lot of work. We finally made the plunge and started our search for the right dog for us. We went to many rescue places, pet stores and finally met Izzy at a local private breeder. When I saw her picture I knew she was ours.
Izzy is 9 weeks old this Friday. She is a cute little boxer who will grow up to be a ball of energy from what I hear. We're heading off to our second sleepless night but she's worth every cup of coffee. I guess this is good training for Jay and I for any future human babies. After the last couple of days I am now a strong believer that every couple should have a puppy before they have babies. She does something and we look at each other, shrug and run to the internet to Google it to see if it's normal. It's pretty funny!
Gabriela just got to meet Izzy today and she fell in love already. They played and laid on the floor together. Gabriela is learning about teaching Izzy good behavior and she's been a great little helper.
